Newsletter: February Goodies and Catching Up

Welcome to the second month of the new year! We finally made it out of the 3,675th of January and into February! I'm especially happy I've made it into February because I'm determined to make this a restful and catch-up month. This past year was intense for me in a lot of really good ways, but it also left me burnt out and behind on a lot of the regular things I do in the background of running my own business. For instance, listing original art in my shop. If you're a patron you may have noticed a change in the Color in Focus posts where I didn't include the cost for new original pieces. Part of that was because I did a fair amount of work on multi-part projects where I like to keep all the original pieces together until the project is finished and part of it was just pure exhaustion. This month I'll be working on getting my shop up to date with all the originals I haven't sold from the past year. My Patrons always get first dibs on things before they hit the shop, so if there's some piece you've been dying to snag, joining up is the best way to get a piece! I'll be making a list of prices and pieces to show my patrons while I work on the background writing and listings.

Another part of the rest I'm doing this month is I'm taking a full month off of streaming. I have been streaming 3 days a week on my Twitch lately, when other work or life doesn't get in the way, and while I love streaming it is a lot of extra energy and thought that goes into it. So I'm giving myself a break to breath a bit and catch up on my other work without stressing myself out about how much I need to get done in a day to manage everything. If your plate is too full you're allowed to just take something off of it, so that's what I'm doing! This break will not affect any Patreon benefits or posts! I'll still be doing my work on the Color in Focus you voted on and you'll still get your physical benefits mailed! Let's dive into that info!

The Color in Focus this month is: Naphthamide Maroon! Patreon voted and this is the color I'll be focusing on this month! This is a great color that will let me finish my fruit moon series with the new moon. I'm still cooking on what else I'll paint with this but it's such a gorgeous deep color I'm sure I can find plenty of inspiration. What does this color make you think of? I always love hearing what other people see!

For the Apple Pie of my Eye, Gimme S'more, One in a Melon, and Top Banana Tiers we have a sticker perfect for Valentine's Day! A lovely heart shaped donut with heart sprinkles that was made as part of our color in focus from last month: rose.

For the Sodalightful, Gimme S'more, One in a Melon, and Top Banana Tiers there is a print of a very small watercolor painting I made a while back of some colorful gummy bears! This print is actually much bigger that the original painting which is always fun to see.
